Here are 11 simple tips to make you shine this monsoon!
It's monsoon! Some love this season because of the breezy weather, while some hate it because of the humidity! Whatever be the reason, we gotta deal with monsoons. Dealing with monsoon INCLUDES skincare! Taking care of our skin should be a top priority in monsoons.
Here we have a few tips listed out for you to #KeepKillingIt in monsoon also!
- Wash your face more frequently.
Use a mild face wash for cleaning your face 2-3 times a day to avoid dirt, sebum, and excess build-up on your face. This will help in keeping the face fresh and clean and will prevent the loss of essential oils.
- pH levels are important!
Use a toner post face wash to maintain the required pH level of your skin. A toner will also help in shrinking the pores to avoid any monsoon breakouts.
- Moisture Alert!
Even though it’s monsoon and our skin might become greasy at times, we should not forget to use a mild moisturizer to keep our skin hydrated throughout the season. A water-based or a matte finish moisturizer will be the best solution to have a healthy and hydrated skin as it is super light than any other moisturizer.
- How can we forget about the sun?!
Just because it’s monsoon, doesn’t mean the sun won’t show up! We need to save our skin from the unwholesome effects of UVA and UVB rays. Apply sunscreen 15-20 minutes prior to stepping out, as it gets absorbed by the skin and the chances of it being washed away are reduced. Also, reapply the sunscreen every 2 hours if you are gonna stay out for long or when you sweat a lot.
- Exfoliation is the key.
Don’t go overboard to exfoliate the dirt on your face as it might screw up with your natural skin moisture. Use a gentle exfoliating face wash for the same and maintain your natural look.
- H2O is essential!
“My child, have at least 6-8 glasses of water every day!” - Every Indian parent ever! Well, this advice is not new since we all know the importance of drinking an adequate amount of water to stay hydrated.
- When in doubt, have a fruit platter!
Eat lots of fruits like, plum, peach, cherries, etc. to stay fit, because when you eat healthily, you look healthy.
- Face mask makes life problems go away!
A peel-off mask will do the trick of cleaning the pores and excess oil removal. Use it twice a week for better results.
- Even your feet deserve fresh air!
Try wearing open-toe foot wears to let your feet breathe. Closed-toe shoes/ sandals tend to trap all the sweat and water leading to harmful infections (fungal infections can get worse!)
- Is light make up a thing?
YES, IT IS!! Avoid heavy makeup during monsoons as it can clog your pores and make you prone to breakouts this season.
So, ladies, we hope we could help you with some indispensable tricks to #KeepKillingIt this monsoon.!
